Randy Moss Calls Tyreek Hill a Top-5 Active WR, But 'Nowhere' on All-Time Lists
Nobody would dispute Randy Moss' inclusion in discussions about the greatest wide receivers in NFL history.
But the legend himself would dispute someone putting Tyreek Hill in such conversations.
"He's nowhere all-time," Moss said, per David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel (h/t Myles Simmons of Pro Football Talk). "Where is he at in today's game? Tyreek Hill is probably top five. I put him top five."

Super Bowl champ calls out former team
Hill has quite the resume with a Super Bowl title, eight Pro Bowl selections and five First-Team All-Pro nods. He also led the league in receiving yards (1,799) and receiving touchdowns (13) during the 2023 campaign for the Miami Dolphins.
Yet his numbers dropped last year on the way to 959 receiving yards and six touchdowns. That, along with the presence of so many other star wide receivers such as Ja'Marr Chase, Justin Jefferson, Amon-Ra St. Brown, CeeDee Lamb and others, means it isn't even a lock that Hill is in the top five of today's game.
Opening up the discussion about all-time lists brings in so many other greats such as Moss and Jerry Rice. And Hill is 42nd all-time in receiving yards and 30th all-time in receiving touchdowns at age 31.
He has plenty of ground to make up in what figures to be the latter portion of his career if he is going to be in those discussions.
But Moss surely is and even said that while Rice is the "political answer" for the best receiver in history, "if we're talking real football, where I knock your ass out, it's me."
That type of confidence and self-belief helped Moss dominate opposing secondaries throughout his career. He is second all-time in receiving touchdowns (156) and fourth in receiving yards (15,292) but still looking up at Rice in both categories.
It is quite the debate that many football fans have surely had, but Moss believes Hill should not be anywhere near those conversations.
