NFL Exec Hypes 'Fearless' Baker Mayfield, 'He's Got a Moxie to Him, Like, 'F--k you'
Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield's competitiveness has generated praise from around the NFL.
"Fearless as a thrower and a runner," an NFL personnel evaluator told ESPN's Jeremy Fowler. "He's got on-field leadership where teammates want to support him. Much better arm than given credit for. Good mover in the pocket and can rush for yards. Attacks the third level of the defense. When he's got time [in the pocket], he's as good as almost anybody right now."
Mayfield also drew comparisons to Hall of Fame passer Brett Favre.

"He honestly reminds me of Favre a little bit as far as style of play," the personnel evaluator told Fowler. "He's got a moxie to him, like, 'F--k you, I'm on the attack.' And defensive guys feel that presence."
Mayfield wrapped up an impressive 2024 campaign, setting career-high marks with a 71.4 completion percentage, 4,500 pass yards and 41 touchdowns through the air.
While his 16 interceptions were tied for the most in the NFL, he still ended the year with a 106.8 passer rating and helped Tampa Bay clinch its fourth straight NFC South title.
Mayfield has also continued to display his confidence on the field.
After suiting up for three teams in two seasons from 2022-23, the 30-year-old has made Pro Bowl appearances in both years he's spent with Tampa Bay and has developed into a key piece of a squad that owned the NFL's No. 4 scoring offense in 2024.
