Aaron Rodgers Excited to 'Finish It The Right Way' After Signing Steelers Contract
As Aaron Rodgers prepares for what could be his final NFL season, the veteran quarterback said he's looking forward to closing things out "the right way" with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
"I just like the newness of it all," Rodgers said. "I'm excited about being in such a great franchise with a Hall of Fame head coach... It's fun, it's a good quarterback room, it's good leadership in the locker room, great fanbase. I'm just excited to get back out there and finish it the right way."

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
After spending the last two seasons playing for a New York Jets team that didn't even sniff the playoffs, Rodgers will have a much different situation in Pittsburgh. While the Steelers haven't been true Super Bowl contenders, per se, recently, Mike Tomlin almost always produces a playoff team, and that shouldn't be any different this year.
Rodgers isn't the MVP quarterback he once was, but he's more than capable of running an offense. That much is evident based on the 3,897 passing yards and 28 touchdowns he collected last year.
Rodgers hasn't officially declared the 2025 campaign a retirement tour, but he said on The Pat McAfee Show in June that he's most likely calling it quits after one year with the Steelers.
"I'm pretty sure this is it. That's why we did the one-year deal," Rodgers said. "Steelers didn't need to put any extra years on that or anything. This was really about finishing [my career] with a lot of love and fun and peace for the career that I've had.
"I've played 20 freakin' years. It's been a long run and I've enjoyed it. What better place to finish than in one of the cornerstone franchises in the NFL with [coach] Mike Tomlin and a great group of leadership and great guys and a city that expects you to win?"
If it is the end for Rodgers, he'll look to cap off his Hall of Fame career on a high note in Pittsburgh.
