D-Backs Reportedly 'Definitely' Sellers with Suarez, Naylor, More Available for Trades
The Arizona Diamondbacks are reportedly a team to watch ahead of the MLB trade deadline at the end of the month.
Per USA Today's Bob Nightengale, the Diamondbacks "will definitely be sellers at the trade deadline according to rival executives."
Nightengale added that starting pitchers Zac Gallen and Merrill Kelly, All-Star third baseman Eugenio Suárez and first baseman Josh Naylor, all of whom are on expiring contracts, are available for trades, and Arizona wants "young pitching in return."

The Diamondbacks were expected to be somewhat competitive in the playoff race this season, but that hasn't been the case through the first half as injuries have piled up.
Starting pitcher Jordan Montgomery had season-ending Tommy John surgery in March. New addition Corbin Burnes also had Tommy John surgery in June, and reliever Justin Martinez followed shortly after with the same surgery.
The Diamondbacks are also without pitchers Tommy Henry, Blake Walston and Christian Montes de Oca for the remainder of the year.
Amid all the injuries, the Diamondbacks are 46-50, sitting in fourth place in a tough NL West and 6.5 games back in the wild card race. While a late surge could see Arizona salvage its season, committing to selling at the trade deadline might be the right move.
