Randy Moss Says Justin Jefferson 'on Pace to Be Arguably the Greatest' WR Ever in NFL
Pro Football Hall of Famer wide receiver and Minnesota Vikings legend Randy Moss paid current Vikings wideout Justin Jefferson a huge compliment Saturday.
During an interview with TMZ Sports, Moss was asked if Jefferson is on pace to be the greatest wide receiver in Vikings history, but he took it one step further:

"I think Justin Jefferson is on pace to be arguably the greatest ever and definitely the greatest Viking to ever do it," Moss said.
Since going 22nd overall to the Vikings in the 2020 NFL draft out of LSU, Jefferson has gotten his career off to a remarkable start, racking up 495 receptions for 7,432 yards and 40 touchdowns through five seasons.
Jefferson has hit the 1,000-yard receiving mark in all five of his NFL seasons, including 2023 even though he missed seven games due to injury.
He is also a four-time Pro Bowler and two-time First Team All-Pro, returning to the First Team All-Pro ranks last season with 103 catches for 1,533 yards and 10 scores.
Moss is widely considered the greatest Vikings wide receiver of all time, and he is in the conversation for the greatest wideout in NFL history along with San Francisco 49ers legend Jerry Rice.
Over his 14 NFL seasons, Moss registered 982 receptions for 15,292 yards and 156 touchdowns, ranking him second on the NFL's all-time list in receiving touchdowns and fourth in receiving yardage.
Rice is first across the board with 1,549 catches for 22,895 yards and 197 touchdowns.
Through their first five NFL seasons, Moss had 414 catches for 6,743 yards and 60 touchdowns, while Rice had 346 grabs for 6,364 yards and 66 touchdowns.
That means Jefferson is pacing ahead of both of them in terms of receptions in receiving yardage, but he is well behind them in touchdowns.
Moss told TMZ Sports he believes Jefferson needs to start scoring more touchdowns in order to truly enter the ranks of the all-time greats.
"For him to go down as the greatest Viking and arguably the greatest wide receiver to ever do it, I think I need to see more of Justin getting in that box," Moss said. "I think at our position it's not about the yards. The yards is what gets you the likes and the hearts and all of that, but if you really want to be legendary ... you gotta find a way to get in that end zone."
Jefferson also has some company in the form of his former LSU teammate in Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase.
Chase is also on a legendary pace with 395 receptions for 5,425 yards and 46 touchdowns to go along with four Pro Bowl nods and one First Team All-Pro selection through four seasons.
If Jefferson and Chase remain on their current paces, there is little doubt that they will be viewed as two of the best ever at their position by the time they retire.
