Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
For the past two weeks, the league has been unveiling two members of the top 100 list per day. Here is a rundown of the list thus far:
100. Ladd McConkey, WR, Los Angeles Chargers
99. Leonard Williams, DL, Seattle Seahawks
98. Aaron Jones, RB, Minnesota Vikings
97. Drake London, WR, Atlanta Falcons
96. Lavonte David, LB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
95. Josh Sweat, EDGE, Arizona Cardinals
94. Sam LaPorta, TE, Detroit Lions
93. Creed Humphrey, C, Kansas City Chiefs
92. Jessie Bates, S, Atlanta Falcons
91. Tua Tagovailoa, QB, Miami Dolphins
90. Zach Allen, DL, Denver Broncos
89. James Cook, RB, Buffalo Bills
88. Andrew Van Ginkel, LB, Minnesota Vikings
87. Quinnen Williams, DL, New York Jets
86. Laremy Tunsil, OT, Washington Commanders
85. Kyren Williams, RB, Los Angeles Rams
84. Christian Gonzalez, CB, New England Patriots
83. Cameron Heyward, DL, Pittsburgh Steelers
82. Jerry Jeudy, WR, Cleveland Browns
81. Trent McDuffie, CB, Kansas City Chiefs
Jeudy, 26, was traded from the Denver Broncos to the Browns last offseason in exchange for two Day 3 draft picks, and that move paid instant dividends for Cleveland.
The 2020 first-round pick out of Alabama enjoyed a career year in 2024, setting new career highs with 90 receptions for 1,229 yards to go along with four touchdowns.
Jeudy did not reach the 1,000-yard mark in any of his four seasons in Denver, and the fact that he did it last season in Cleveland was made more impressive by the tumultuous quarterback situation he had to deal with.
Deshaun Watson, Jameis Winston, Dorian Thompson-Robinson and Bailey Zappe all started games at quarterback for the Browns last season, and Jeudy still managed to secure his first Pro Bowl selection.
The 24-year-old McDuffie has enjoyed enormous success over just three NFL seasons following his selection as the No. 21 overall pick in the 2022 NFL draft.
As a key starter for the Chiefs, McDuffie won the Super Bowl in each of his first two seasons, and he was named a First Team All-Pro as a nick corner in 2023 when he recorded 80 tackles, three sacks, five forced fumbles and seven pass breakups.
While McDuffie was excellent his first two seasons, 2024 may have been his best year yet, as he recorded his first two career interceptions to go along with 59 tackles and a career-high 13 passes defended en route to a Second Team All-Pro selection.
McDuffie and the Chiefs fell one victory short of becoming the first team in NFL history to win three consecutive Super Bowls, but they will look to return to the top of the football world in 2025.
