Lions, 49ers, Bengals Among Most Popular Week 1 Spread Bets for 2025 NFL Season

The NFL season is still nearly two months away, but a handful of bets for Week 1 are already gaining traction among fans.

Per DraftKings Sportsbook, the most popular Week 1 spread bet is the Detroit Lions to cover the spread (+1.5) against the Green Bay Packers, with 83 percent of bets being for the Lions.

The Arizona Cardinals have received 80 percent of the bets to cover the spread (-5.5) against the New Orleans Saints. The Cincinnati Bengals have seen similar action, getting 78 percent of the bets to cover the spread (-5.5) against the Cleveland Browns.

The Miami Dolphins have a Week 1 matchup with the Indianapolis Colts, and 77 percent of the bets have been for the Dolphins to cover the spread (+1.5).

Brock Purdy and the San Francisco 49ers will take on their divisional rival in Week 1, and fans are confident they'll cover the spread (-1.5) against the Seattle Seahawks, with 73 percent of the bets on the 49ers.

The NFL season kicks off on Thursday, Sept. 4, with a matchup between the Dallas Cowboys and the Philadelphia Eagles, followed by a contest on Friday between the Kansas City Chiefs and Los Angeles Chargers in São Paulo, Brazil.

From there, it's a full slate of games on Sunday and the week will conclude with the Minnesota Vikings vs. the Chicago Bears on Monday.
