Recently released WWE Superstar Shayna Baszler reportedly may be back with the company in a new capacity.

According to Cory Hays of BodySlam.net (h/t Cultaholic.com's Aidan Gibbons), Baszler was listed internally as a producer for the match between Kelani Jordan and Lainey Reid on Tuesday night's episode of NXT.

Baszler was one of multiple wrestlers released by WWE in May, ending her eight-year tenure with the company.

Given the former UFC star's legitimacy as a fighter and past success in pro wrestling, there was some thought she would land elsewhere in a wrestling role, such as AEW or TNA.

However, the 44-year-old Baszler's producer credit may be a sign that she is ready to transition into the next phase of her career.

It isn't clear if WWE has already hired her as a full-time producer, as it is possible that Baszler was taking part in a trial run on Tuesday night. Hays noted that new producers often have a probationary period before getting officially hired.

Regardless, Baszler could bring a fresh perspective to the role since the vast majority of producers in WWE and pro wrestling as a whole are men.

Baszler would command instant respect given her recent achievements as a wrestler in WWE, having held the NXT Women's Championship twice and the WWE Women's Tag Team Championships three times.

WWE Reportedly Set for Halloween Horror Nights Involvement

WWE and Universal Studios are reportedly partnering to bring a WWE twist to Halloween Horror Nights later this year.

According to Fightful Select (h/t Felix Upton of Ringside News), WWE and Universal have been discussing a collaboration since last year, and it is expected to be officially announced this month.

Halloween Horror Nights is a hugely popular theme featured annually at the Universal amusement parks in Orlando, Los Angeles, Japan and Singapore.

The parks typically hold Halloween Horror Nights in October, although it has expanded in recent years due to its popularity.

At Universal Orlando, Halloween Horror Nights 2025 is set to run from Aug. 29 through Nov. 2, and several major properties are already being advertised, including Jason from Friday the 13th, Fallout and Five Nights at Freddy's.

No specifics are available regarding WWE's integration, but there are several characters who would make sense within the fabric of Halloween Horror Nights.

WWE Hall of Famers The Undertaker and Kane are obvious choices, as is the current Wyatt Sicks stable comprised of Uncle Howdy, Erick Rowan, Dexter Lumis, Joe Gacy and Nikki Cross.

Making The Fiend part of Halloween Horror Nights would also be an ideal fit, and perhaps the perfect tribute to the late Bray Wyatt, who portrayed the character.

Multiple Legends Reportedly Expected to Appear at Evolution

Some WWE Hall of Famers have already been announced as competitors for Sunday's Evolution premium live event, but other legends are reportedly slated to appear as well.

According to PWInsider.com (h/t Gibbons), WWE Hall of Famer Alundra Blayze and two-time WWE women's champion Jazz are reportedly scheduled for Evolution in some capacity.

Trish Stratus will challenge Tiffany Stratton for the WWE Women's Championship on the show, and Nikki Bella is competing in a battle royal with the winner earning a women's title match at Clash in Paris.

If Blayze and Jazz are going to wrestle, it would likely be in the battle royal, although it is possible they may simply be shown on camera without getting physically involved in a match.

At the inaugural Evolution in 2018, which was the first all-women's premium live event in WWE history, several legends were part of a battle royal, including Blayze, Ivory, Molly Holly, Michelle McCool, Torrie Wilson and Kelly Kelly.

Along with WWE legends, there could also be some TNA representation in this year's battle royal as part of WWE's partnership with TNA.

Per BodySlam.net (h/t Gibbons), there are expected to be some TNA surprises in the battle royal.

No specific names were mentioned, but Masha Slamovich makes sense since she is the reigning TNA Knockouts world champion. TNA wrestlers with past WWE ties could also be options, including The IInspiration (The IIconics), Victoria Crawford (Alicia Fox), Ash by Elegance (Dana Brooke) and Indi Hartwell.
