Joe Burrow's Reaction to Home Being Burglarized Revealed in Netflix's 'Quarterback'

Joseph ZuckerJul 7, 2025

Among other topics, the newest season of Netflix's Quarterback series addresses the burglary at the home of Cincinnati Bengals star Joe Burrow last December.

According to Jay Morrison of Cincinnati Bengals on SI, the Netflix cameras captured Burrow learning inside the locker room of the break-in after his team's 27-20 win over the Dallas Cowboys.

The two-time Pro Bowler reflected on how the saga "just felt like the kind of year that it was" with the Bengals en route to a 9-8 season and missing the playoffs.

More so than the burglary itself, Burrow was upset with how he lost some of the small bit of privacy he still enjoyed as a prominent athlete. All of a sudden, his home was shown regularly on the news and he had television vans stationed outside of his residence.

"I just get uncomfortable," he said. "My life is very public. That comes with the job, but there are certain parts of your life that are yours. Your house is one of those.

“When that gets violated, people find out where you live, all these different things."

In February, a federal grand jury indicted three men in connection to the alleged crime. They've been charged with transporting stolen goods across state lines and falsifying records in a federal investigation.

Federal prosecutors alleged this is part of a wider crime ring originating out of South America. The burglars purportedly stole almost $300,000 worth of jewelry, watches, glasses and designer luggage from Burrow's home.

Netflix also dropped a trailer for season two on Monday

The second season will debut on Tuesday.
