Angel Reese Celebrated by Sky Teammates in Video After WNBA All-Star Roster Reveal

Early on, it looked like Reese's All-Star candidacy was fading. Through her first nine games with Chicago, she was shooting just 36.3 percent from the floor and averaging 10.3 points and 11.8 rebounds.
Ever since putting up a triple-double (11 points, 13 rebounds and 11 assists) in a June 15 win over the Connecticut Sun, however, the Rookie of the Year runner-up has been on a different level. Over her last seven appearances, she averaged 15.1 points, 13.6 rebounds and 5.3 assists.
Reese's emergence as a playmaker is an unexpected surprise and one that has been a boon to Chicago after it lost Courtney Vandersloot to a season-ending torn ACL.
At 5-11, the Sky have the WNBA's second-worst record, and they're 2.5 games back of the Las Vegas Aces in eighth place. Falling short of the playoffs will likely be a disappointment for Reese, but she's definitely building on the success she enjoyed as a rookie.
