Saints' Alvin Kamara Gets Redo on Cubs 1st Pitch After Wild Throw on Video

Alvin Kamara proved why he’s a star running back—not a quarterback—after needing a redo on a wildly off-target first pitch ahead of the Chicago Cubs’ matchup against the St. Louis Cardinals at Wrigley Field on Saturday.

The New Orleans Saints standout drew gasps from the crowd with his initial throw, which sailed far outside the strike zone. He called for a redo and more than redeemed himself on the mound.

The five-time Pro Bowler is in town ahead of the NASCAR Chicago Street Race, part of the In-Season Challenge. Serving as an ambassador for the sport, Kamara has been making his rounds in the Chicago sports scene during the lead-up to race weekend.

Kamara is set to enter his ninth season with the New Orleans Saints. Turning 30 this year, he tallied 1,493 total yards and eight touchdowns across 14 games last season, continuing to be a versatile weapon in the Saints’ offense.
