Will Ospreay and Swerve Strickland beat The Young Bucks in a tag team match at AEW All In on Saturday, meaning The Bucks must surrender their titles as AEW Executive Vice Presidents.

Ospreay and Strickland hit Matthew Jackson with a combined Hidden Blade and House Call to seal the victory.

The groundwork for Saturday's match was initially laid at Dynasty back in April, which saw Strickland challenge Jon Moxley for the AEW World Championship in the main event.

Swerve seemed to be trending toward becoming a two-time AEW world champ when suddenly the lights went out. When they came back on, The Young Bucks hit Strickland with the EVP Trigger.

Moxley pinned Swerve and retained the AEW world title as a result, and The Bucks clearly made an enemy in Strickland.

The following month at Double or Nothing, Strickland was part of the babyface team that beat The Death Riders and The Young Bucks in an Anarchy in the Arena match, but the bad blood between Swerve and The Bucks was far from over with.

After Strickland refused to aid Ospreay in his attempt to take down The Death Riders, Swerve and Ospreay had a match against each other at Dynamite: Summer Blockbuster, which ended in a time-limit draw.

The Young Bucks attacked both of them after the match, taking advantage of their exhaustion. That was enough to make Strickland and Ospreay somewhat reluctant allies.

Swerve and Ospreay were the ones who initially laid down the challenge for All In, but they added a caveat in the form of a stipulation that would require The Young Bucks to leave their post as EVPs in the event of a loss.

The Young Bucks were reluctant to accept at first, which prompted Ospreay to up the ante by pledging that he and Strickland could not challenge for the AEW world title for one year if they were to lose.

That was enticing enough to get The Young Bucks to accept, but Swerve and Ospreay got the last laugh by beating the three-time AEW world tag team champions and knocking them from their perch as AEW execs.
