Naomi Cashes in MITB Contract, Beats Iyo, Rhea to Win WWE Women's World Title

Mike ChiariJul 13, 2025

Naomi cahsed in her Money In The Bank contract and defeated Iyo Sky and Rhea Ripley at WWE Evolution on Sunday to win the Women's World Championship.

Sky and Ripley were in a grueling one-on-one match for the title in the main event of Sunday's premium live event. After both of them gave it their all, Naomi seized her moment to cash in her contract and turn it into a Triple Threat match. She disposed of Ripley and pinned Sky to earn her first WWE singles championship since 2017.

Earlier in the night, Naomi had lost a no holds barred match to her longtime rival Jade Cargill. She quickly turned her attention to the Women's World Title, turning the Raw women's division on its head.

On the March 3 episode of Raw, Sky somewhat surprisingly beat Ripley for the Women's World Championship due partly to the presence of Bianca Belair at ringside.

Belair had won the women's Elimination Chamber match a couple of days earlier to earn a title match at WrestleMania 41, and with Iyo's victory, it looked like Sky vs. The EST was set for the Showcase of the Immortals.

Ripley convinced Raw general manager Adam Pearce to give her a rematch for the Women's World Championship later that month with Belair as the special guest referee.

Both Ripley and Sky got physical with Belair during the match, prompting her to call for a double disqualification.

Given her issues with both Rhea and Bianca, Iyo agreed to put her title on the line against both of them at WrestleMania 41. That led to one of the greatest women's matches and Triple Threat matches in WrestleMania history.

Despite going against two of the top Superstars the women's division has to offer, Sky was victorious on the Grandest Stage of Them All, and she continued to reign as champion leading up to Evolution.

On the Raw after Night of Champions, Sky announced that Pearce had given her the choice of who to defend her Women's World Championship against at Evolution.

Iyo chose Rhea without hesitation, which proved to be a grave mistake, as they wore each other out and allowed Naomi to prevail at the second all-women's premium live event in WWE history to become a three-time women's champion.
