It looks like Jalen Ramsey is set to continue wearing No. 5 with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The former Miami Dolphins quarterback showed off his new Steelers jersey in a Tuesday social media post.

Ramsey wore No. 20 for the first five seasons of his NFL career with the Jacksonville Jaguars and Los Angeles Rams.

He switched to No. 5 with the Rams in 2021 and continued wearing the number after he was traded to Miami in 2023.

Ramsey said when switching jersey numbers ahead of the Rams' 2021 season that he had wanted No. 2, which ultimately went to wide receiver Robert Woods.

He told reporters he ultimately went with No. 5 "just because of certain little meanings that I have internally about the number five."

No. 5 was worn during one game last season in Pittsburgh by punter Cameron Johnston, whose season was cut short by a Week 1 knee injury.

Johnston is set to return for the 2025 season after rejoining the team for offseason workouts earlier this summer, but he could be taking on a new number after Ramsey's arrival.

The Steelers acquired Ramsey on Monday alongside tight end Jonnu Smith and a 2027 seventh-round pick in exchange for safety Minkah Fitzpatrick and a 2027 fifth-rounder.

Ramsey received a $1.5 million raise as part of the trade, bringing the total he will receive in 2025 up to $26.6 million, per ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Pittsburgh is hoping that the addition will help Aaron Rodgers and the 2025 Steelers compete with the Baltimore Ravens and Cincinnati Bengals for the top of the AFC North.

The deal, meanwhile, ended months of speculation surrounding Ramsey since the Dolphins announced in April they would be seeking a trade for the three-time All-Pro cornerback.

Ramsey then stayed away from Dolphins offseason activities, including mandatory minicamp, prior to the trade to Pittsburgh.

He will now report to join Darius Slay and Joey Porter Jr. in the Pittsburgh cornerback room when Steelers training camp begins on July 23.
