Liv Morgan Undergoes Surgery on Shoulder Injury, Rehab Photo Shared of WWE Star
WWE Superstar Liv Morgan's road to recovery from a shoulder injury suffered two weeks ago is underway.
On Saturday, Kevin Wilk of Champion Sports Medicine in Vestavia Hills, Alabama, posted a photo of himself with Morgan on Instagram and included the following caption: "Awesome honor and pleasure to be helping WWE superstar Liv Morgan with her shoulder rehabilitation. … Fantastic athlete, dedicated and great to work with! This WWE Superstar will be back and back even better! Outstanding athlete!"

Wilk also confirmed that Morgan underwent surgery, noting that it was performed by Jeff Dugas of Andrews Sports Medicine in Birmingham, Alabama.
On the June 16 episode of Raw, Morgan faced Kairi Sane, but the match was stopped moments after it started when Morgan favored her shoulder following an awkward landing while trying to brace herself for a bump.
The match was called off, and the following week on Raw, the announcers confirmed she suffered a shoulder injury and said Liv would be out of action for "several months."
Prior to getting injured, it appeared as though some big plans were in place for Morgan, who is one half of the WWE women's tag team champions.
She had a promo segment on Raw with WWE Hall of Famer Nikki Bella in anticipation of a potential match at Evolution, and she was also embroiled in a rivalry with women's world champion Iyo Sky.
WrestleVotes (h/t Subhojeet Mukherjee of Ringside News) reported that Evolution card had to be "ripped up" and started from scratch due to a planned tag team match featuring Morgan and Bella.
It was also reported by Cory Hays of BodySlam.net (h/t Mukherjee) that Morgan vs. Sky for the women's world title was in the works for Night of Champions.
While it isn't yet clear what is now on the horizon for Bella and Sky, WWE does have a built-in replacement for Morgan as it relates to the women's tag titles.
Roxanne Perez has been trying to ingratiate herself to Morgan and The Judgment Day in recent weeks, and she has lent a helping hand to Raquel Rodriguez during Liv's absence, which suggests Roxanne and Raquel could move forward as champions.
That would also be a sensible way to lay the groundwork for Morgan's eventual return, as Perez's actions could make her a target for Liv.
