Caitlin Clark Out for Fever vs. Paige Bueckers, Wings with Groin Injury
WNBA fans will have to wait a bit longer to see Paige Bueckers and Caitlin Clark face off for the first time.
Clark has been officially ruled out of Friday's game between the Indiana Fever and Dallas Wings due to a lingering groin injury.

Clark also missed Thursday's game against the Los Angeles Sparks.
Clark will miss her seventh game of the season on Friday. She is averaging 18.2 points, 8.9 assists and 5.0 rebounds in nine games for the Fever in 2024-25.
She was the No. 1 pick in the 2024 WNBA draft and went on to win the Rookie of the Year while leading the Fever to their first playoff appearance since 2016. Bueckers was the top pick of the 2025 WNBA draft.
Since joining Dallas, she has averaged 17.7 points, 5.8 assists and 4.6 rebounds in 12 games. The Wings have stumbled out to a 4-12 start to the season, but Bueckers' upside gives the franchise some hope.
The two teams are set to meet again on July 13 in Indiana. If both Clark and Bueckers can stay healthy, the long-awaited matchup should come to fruition that day.
