Young San Francisco Giants Fan Saves Inattentive Dad from Foul Tip to the Temple
Kids these days.
They've got mo-bile phones with the Snapchat, shiny picture-taking sticks and iPad contraptions with all sorts of Kate Upton-wizard games on them.
Yessir, it's all about instant gratification for these kids. They can't pay attention for a lick—unless we've underestimated them, and they're actually out here actively saving our lives.

Enter John Pizzi, a young Giants fan who had his head and glove on a swivel at Sunday's game between the San Francisco Giants and the Philadelphia Phillies.
Seated in the stands by home plate, John wasn't thumbing through Instagram or tweeting terrible things at Cole Hamels when a foul tip off Brandon Crawford's bat came flying his way.
John reached out and made the catch, interposing his glove between the fast-moving ball and his dad's head.
John's dad, presumably looking for a hot dog to wash down the hot dog he'd just eaten, had his eyes elsewhere and would've taken a clean shot to the temporal lobe had our young hero demonstrated similar focus.
John's heroics did not go unnoticed, and he later gave an interview to MLB media.

"I didn't really see it coming," John said. "I stuck my glove out and caught it while my dad wasn't looking. He turned around, I show him the ball and he starts laughing."
Weep not for the future, America. I have a feeling they might make it.
Dan is on the Twitter machine where kids send movin' pictures of Michael Jordan crying and such.
