49ers' George Kittle 'Would Love' to Have WWE Career After He Retires from NFL

San Francisco 49ers George Kittle has contemplated his life after football, and one of the avenues he's considering is a second career... in WWE.

"I haven't daydreamed about it or anything like that, but I'm definitely aware that there are potential opportunities and doors that could be open," he said during an appearance on the  Bussin' with the Boys podcast (h/t Tristi Rodriguez of NBC Sports Bay Area). "So I'm just excited about that stuff. I would love to do WWE. I think there's definitely opportunity within that world, and I would love nothing more than to be a part of it. My only question mark with that is I so much love being a fan of WWE. I would only do WWE if I bought a ring and practiced my ass off for a long time so I wouldn't look like an idiot out there. I've been in a WWE ring like three times. I don't know what I'm doing out there. I have an understanding of how it works, but I haven't moonsaulted off the top rope at WrestleMania like Pat McAfee did."

Kittle has never been shy about his WWE fandom, so Tuesday's comments shouldn't come as a huge surprise:

Granted, any wrestling days are still likely years away—Kittle is under contract in San Francisco through the 2029 season, and the 31-year-old has shown little signs of slowing down.

In 2024 he caught 78 passes for 1,106 yards and eight touchdowns, earning his sixth Pro Bowl bid in the process. His receptions were the most he's record since 2019, his receiving yards the most he's had since 2018 and his touchdowns the most since 2022.

Kittle remains at the top of his craft, and will yet again be a key figure for the Niners in 2025 as they look to rebound from last season's disappointing 6-11 campaign. But once the football days are over, the professional wrestling arc might begin.
