Southampton, Fake Brendan Rodgers Twitter Account Have Hilarious Exchange

Nothing like a bit of quality banter between a hilarious parody account and a club's official account. 

That's exactly what happened on Sunday after news broke that Liverpool had agreed on a £49 million fee with Manchester City for wantaway striker Raheem Sterling, according to BBC Sport. 

Over the past two summer transfer windows, Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has made a habit of going after Southampton players: Last summer they signed Adam Lallana, Rickie Lambert and Dejan Lovren and landed Nathaniel Clyne this summer. 

Fresh with an alleged £49 million in the bank, a popular Brendan Rodgers parody account decided to return to the south coast club's well.

Lo and behold, Southampton responded. And decisively.
