Modern-Day Dream Matches 💭

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
WWE Hall of Famer is set to have the final match of his career against world heavyweight champion Gunther at Saturday Night's Main Event next month, and he will reportedly be a consistent presence on Raw leading up to that bout.
According to PWInsider Elite (h/t Steve Carrier of Ringside News), Goldberg is scheduled to appear on every Raw between now and Saturday Night's Main Event on July 12 besides next week's Raw in Pittsburgh.
Last week, Goldberg made his return to WWE programming to confront Gunther and challenge him to a match in his adopted hometown of Atlanta at SNME.
It was long assumed that Gunther would be Goldberg's final opponent since they had a confrontation last year at Bad Blood that resulted in Goldberg jumping the barricade and trying to get his hands on the Ring General.
Gunther won the World Heavyweight Championship back from Jey Uso a couple of weeks ago, and during Gunther's first promo following his title win last week, Goldberg interrupted him and their match was made official.
This week, Goldberg appeared on Raw in a pre-taped interview segment with Michael Cole. Goldberg explained that he wants to make Gunther pay for his actions at Bad Blood back in October.
Gunther cut an impassioned promo in his own right and vowed to send Goldberg into retirement on a losing note, helping to build anticipation for the big-time match.
WWE's Rumored Plans for Women's Tag Team Championships
Despite Liv Morgan being out of action due to an injury, WWE is reportedly planning to allow Raquel Rodriguez to remain in possession of the WWE Women's Tag Team Championships.
According to PWInsider Elite (h/t Cultaholic.com's Aidan Gibbons), WWE intends on having Roxanne Perez replace Morgan as Raquel's partner and the other half of the women's tag team champs.
That news comes as little surprise given the events of Raw, which saw Perez lend a helping hand to Rodriguez during a brawl with Rhea Ripley. Raquel was able to put Ripley through a table ahead of their match at Night of Champions as a result.
Rodriguez and Morgan won the WWE Women's Tag Team Championships on the Raw after WrestleMania 41, marking their fourth reign together, which is an all-time record.
However, Morgan suffered a legitimate shoulder injury during a match against Kairi Sane last week on Raw, and it was announced on this week's Raw that she is expected to be on the shelf for "several months."
There is some recent precedent for a Superstar remaining a WWE women's tag team champion despite their partner getting hurt, as Bianca Belair was allowed to take on Naomi as her new partner when Jade Cargill got injured late last year.
Perez stepping in for Morgan would be a similar situation, and it would undoubtedly go a long way toward building additional tension within The Judgment Day.
Liv has clearly been against Finn Balor bringing Roxanne into the group, and if she builds a bond with Raquel in the coming months, it will give Morgan incentive to come back with a vengeance.
Chelsea Green Wants Cardi B in Her Faction
Superstar rapper Cardi B is set to host the first-ever, two-night SummerSlam in August, and she has a standing offer to join forces with a former champion.
The inaugural WWE women's United States champion, Chelsea Green, took to X on Monday to divulge that she is waiting to hear back from Cardi B about joining the Secret Hervice:
The Secret Hervice is comprised of Piper Niven and Alba Fyre. They helped Green retain her title on numerous occasions and continue to back her up even after dropping the U.S. title to Zelina Vega.
It is fair to wonder if Green's post could be a preview of an interaction between them at SummerSlam.
While there is no indication Cardi is preparing to wrestle a match despite her status as a longtime pro wrestling fan, a segment between her and Green has the potential to be highly entertaining and memorable.
Green is the quintessential comedic heel as evidenced by her weekly segments on SmackDown, making her the ideal target for a Cardi B slap if WWE wants to get her physically involved.
That type of segment would give WWE a highlight it could showcase for years to come, and it would be yet another feather in Chelsea's cap, as she continues to establish herself as a hugely important part of the women's division.
