Boston Bruins Reveal New Logo in Hype Video and Showcase Complete Legacy in Photo
The Boston Bruins are updating the Spoked B logo ahead of the 2025-26 NHL season.
The Bruins unveiled the new logo on Monday in a video and photos posted to social media.
The rebrand shows both a yellow B on black spokes for home uniforms and a black B on yellow spokes for road uniforms, giving the team multiple primary logos for the first time in more than a decade.
The new logos also remove the thin black lines that previously surrounded both the B and the eight spokes behind it.
A similar look was used when the Bruins celebrated the team's 100th anniversary in 2023-24, the team noted.
“Since ‘07, we’ve had one primary mark that sits on both a light and dark background,” Bruins VP of marketing Andrea Mazzarelli told Michael Silverman of the Boston Globe. “We’re going back to a tandem of primary marks here with this change. So we’ll be kind of tasked with watching for correct usage and trying to guide the correct usage of the logos on certain backgrounds.”
The new logos will be used for 2025 and "beyond," according to the Bruins.
New uniforms marks the next update in what has been a year full of change for the Bruins, who fired former head coach Jim Montgomery and traded players like Brandon Carlo, Charlie Coyle and former team captain Brad Marchand last season.
Marco Sturm, who was named Montgomery's replacement as a first-time NHL head coach earlier this month, and returning general manager Don Sweeney will be tasked with leading the Bruins through a rebuild after the team missed the playoffs last spring for the first time since 2016.
That rebuild will start this week at the 2025 NHL draft. The Bruins are heading into Friday's draft with seven picks, including the No. 7 selection in the first round.
