Chase Briscoe surged to a 0.682-second victory at Pocono Raceway in Long Pond, Pennsylvania, crossing the finish line first in The Great American Getaway 400 driving the No. 19 Toyota for Joe Gibbs Racing.

Briscoe held off the field to extend his lead over Denny Hamlin, who finished second, while Ryan Blaney secured third to complete the podium.

Fans erupted on social media to celebrate Briscoe’s first win of the season as he earned a spot in the playoffs:

On Sunday, Hamlin claimed the Stage 1 victory, earning 10 points, finishing with 51, while Briscoe surged ahead to capture Stage 2 and matched that with 10 points of his own. Adding the race win, Briscoe racked up a total of 57 points on the day.

Serving a master class in fuel preservation and flawless pit stops, Briscoe expertly navigated the field down the stretch, managing his fuel with precision as the crowd watched tensely.

At lap 96 of 160, the race was under its sixth caution. Briscoe, who started sixth, had led 16 laps as seven drivers exchanged the lead seven times. 

He last pitted on lap 119 and skillfully managed his car to the finish after leading 72 laps, with his fastest lap timed at 52.59 seconds.

Before the race, Chevrolet’s William Byron continued to lead the Cup Series standings — a position he’s maintained for much of the season — holding a 67-point advantage over Hendrick Motorsports teammate Kyle Larson. Toyota’s Christopher Bell was in third, trailing the leader by 80 points.
