The Wings didn't start Sunday's contest on a high note, as they trailed by 13 points after the first quarter. They quickly responded in the second, scoring 31 points in the period to take a 45-40 lead into halftime.
Ogunbowale was largely responsible for Dallas' early turnaround, scoring 14 of her 27 points in the second quarter. She shot 8-of-20 from the field and 3-of-9 from behind the arc, finishing the game with three assists and one steal as well.
Both teams went back and forth in the third quarter, but the Wings appeared to gain some momentum heading into the fourth due to a buzzer-beater from JJ Quinerly to end the period.
Instead, Washington outscored Dallas 22-15 over the final 10 minutes of regulation and nearly emerged victorious without needing overtime until Bueckers' late triple.
With the score tied 88-88 in overtime, Mystics rookie Sonia Citron connected on a three-pointer that ultimately proved to be the difference in the game.
Citron, the No. 3 overall pick in the 2025 WNBA draft, finishing with a career-high 27 points and 11 rebounds. She also shot 69.2 percent from the field, hitting four of her seven attempts from behind the arc.
Washington caught fire from three-point territory as a team, shooting 46.7 percent on long-range jumpers.
For Bueckers and the Wings, they'll now look to bounce back after a brief two-game win streak was snapped on Sunday. Dallas sits at 3-12 on the season.
