Houston Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud took a playful jab at Chicago Bears rookie Caleb Williams on Saturday, following their viral postgame handshake moment during the season.
When asked if the third-year quarterback had any advice for the Bears’ top pick last season Stroud cracked with a smile, “I don’t know if Caleb likes my advice.”

It all boiled down to a memorable moment following the Texans’ Week 2 victory over the Bears in the 2024 season, when Stroud offered some words of encouragement to the rookie quarterback:
"Good job out there bro. Hey, stop taking this hits," Stroud told Williams who began to walk away post-game. "Look, come here. Learn from those mistakes and everything that you got bro, is already in you bro. You going to be a hell of a player in the league."
It was clear Williams wasn’t too eager to hear it after throwing two interceptions and zero touchdowns, leading to the now-famous interaction that the two young franchise quarterbacks can now laugh about.
