Rafael Devers Amuses MLB Fans by Hitting 1st HR with Giants vs. Red Sox After Trade
The Boston Red Sox weren't going to silence Rafael Devers' bat for too long.
Less than a week after being dealt across the country to the San Francisco Giants, the left-handed hitter smashed a two-run home run against his former team in the third inning.

This came after Devers went 0-for-5 in the first game of the series, which the Red Sox won 7-5. He grounded out in his first at-bat Saturday afternoon and wasn't going to waste his next opportunity as he smashed the opposite field homer.
Fans quickly took to social media to hype up Devers revenge moment against his former team.
Devers spent the first eight-and-a-half seasons of his career with Boston where he was a three-time All-Star, two-time Silver Slugger and was on the team's 2018 World Series title roster.
Relations soured between Devers and the front office during the 2025 season and he would be shipped off to the Giants just hours after hitting a home run and helping Boston complete a sweep over the New York Yankees on Father's Day. Now, he will look to be a featured piece of the Giants lineup.
He has had a slow start with the Giants prior to this home run but fans will hope that this redemption shot will help him settle in with his new team.
