Cornerback Jaire Alexander had interest from the Atlanta Falcons and Miami Dolphins in free agency before signing with the Baltimore Ravens, according to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler.
"Falcons, he was considering," Fowler reported Saturday on SportsCenter. "Miami Dolphins, he was also considering. But Baltimore had the clear edge throughout that process."

ESPN's Adam Schefter reported that Alexander eventually signed a one-year deal worth up to $6 million with the Ravens.
The two-time Pro Bowl corner also received interest from the Carolina Panthers following his release from the Green Bay Packers, perย Schefter.
While Alexander has remained effective when healthy, he's been hurt by availability over the past four years. Since the start of the 2021 season, he's only suited up in 34 of a possible 68 games.
He was limited to just seven appearances during his 2024 campaign due to aย torn PCLย in his right knee that eventually required surgery.
Still, Alexander racked up 16 tackles, seven passes defensed and two interceptions. He also received an impressive 75.2 grade fromย Pro Football Focusย for his efforts in 2024, allowing a mere 79.9 passer rating when targeted across 232 coverage snaps.
Despite his health issues, it's understandable that teams looking to compete for playoff spots such as the Dolphins and Falcons were reportedly targeting him as a free agent.
Instead, Alexander will be looking to boost a Ravens secondary that allowed theย second-mostย passing yards per game in 2024 despite finishing with a 12-5 record and advancing to the divisional round of the playoffs.
Joining Baltimore also gave him an opportunity to reunite with Lamar Jackson, his college teammate at Louisville.
Alexander had several interested suitors in free agency, but quickly landed with the Ravens after Green Bay let him go.
