Canelo Alvarez vs. Terence Crawford Fight Gets KO Bonus Added to Prize Money Purse
A knockout bonus has been added to the prize money purse for the upcoming upcoming super middleweight boxing match between Canelo Álvarez and Terence Crawford.
Turki Alalshikh, who is the chairman of Saudi Arabia's General Entertainment Authority, revealed that news at a press conference Friday featuring the two fighters.

The match is set to take place on Saturday, Sept. 13 in Las Vegas.
Alalshikh's answer was in response to a question about what his plan would be to stop "Tom-and-Jerry fights" whereas one fighter is essentially chasing another with little action occurring.
Alalshikh has made his stance on those fights abundantly clear.
Alalshikh and Riyadh Season team are collaborating with UFC president Dana White and Sela to promote this massive fight. They are on a three-city press tour promoting the event, first in Riyadh, then New York and finally Las Vegas. Netflix will stream the event live.
Álvarez is the current undisputed super middleweight champion, with a lifetime record of 63 wins, two losses and two draws. His only lifetime losses are to Dimitry Bivol out of weight class for the WBA (Super) light heavyweight title and to Floyd Mayweather Jr., who finished his career a perfect 50-0.
Crawford is the former undisputed welterweight and light welterweight champion who is now making the move up in weight class to challenge Álvarez. He is a perfect 41-0 lifetime with 31 knockouts. Crawford most recently beat Israil Madrimov via unanimous decision in Aug. 2024 in a light middleweight title bout.
