Álvarez is set to defend his undisputed super middleweight title against Crawford on Sept. 13.
The record-setting belt won't be the only motivation Álvarez and Crawford have to win this September.
Saudi General Entertainment Authority chairman Turki Alalshikh also said fights would receive a bonus for a knockout.
Álvarez (63-2-2, 39 KOs) became the undisputed super middleweight champion for a second time with a unanimous points victory over William Scull during a bout in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia in May.
Alalshikh immediately followed up Álvarez's victory by promoting his upcoming bout with Crawford (41-0, 31 KOs), a four-division and two-weight champion who will be moving up from lightweight for the fight.
At the time, Alalshikh hyped the bout as "the fight of the century between the two great fighters in our generation.”
The event was originally announced as taking place at Las Vegas' Allegiant Stadium. Ring Magazine then announced in May that the fight could take place in "five potential locations" in New York City, Los Angeles or Las Vegas.
Alalshikh announced earlier this month that the bout would take place in Las Vegas. The venue has yet to be confirmed.
The media tour promoting the upcoming fight will continue this week, with a visit to New York for Fanatics Fest set for Sunday before it wraps up in Las Vegas next Friday, per ESPN's Andreas Hale.
