There are plenty of intriguing storylines to follow heading into this year's training camp.

The Cincinnati Bengals are mired in contract disputes with veteran edge-rusher Trey Hendrickson and rookie pass-rusher Shemar Stewart, for one. Cincy has gone from all positive vibes this offseason after extending wideouts Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins to major question marks on the defensive side of the ball, and neither situation appears close to a resolution as of yet.

Other prominent contract situations worth monitoring are T.J. Watt in Pittsburgh, Micah Parsons in Dallas and James Cook in Buffalo.

Training camp will also feature a number of new faces in new places.

How will Aaron Rodgers look running the Steelers' offense? Likewise, will Justin Fields seize the role for the New York Jets? Can Russell Wilson stave off Jameis Winston and Jaxson Dart for the New York Giants' starting job? What kind of fun plays will the Washington Commanders draw up for Deebo Samuel?

Then there are the rookies. Cam Ward will debut as Tennessee's new starting quarterback. Everybody is fascinated to learn how much of a role Travis Hunter will have in Jacksonville at both wide receiver and cornerback. Will Ashton Jeanty transform the Las Vegas Raiders' offense?

There will be positional battles as well, with none more prominent than the four-way quarterback battle—yes, you read that right—in Cleveland. Veterans Joe Flacco and Kenny Pickett will lock horns with rookies Dillon Gabriel and Shedeur Sanders as the Browns host one of the most wide-open quarterback battles in recent memory.

That's just a sample of the storylines to watch come July. The NFL season may be three months away, but the fun is about to begin.
