Cam Skattebo, Giants Agree to Rookie Contract After 2025 NFL Draft

Paul KasabianJun 18, 2025

The New York Giants and running back Cam Skattebo have agreed to terms on the ex-Arizona State star's rookie contract.

Skattebo, who was the No. 105 overall pick in the 2025 NFL draft (No. 3 choice of fourth round), amassed 2,316 scrimmage yards and 24 touchdowns last year. He notably had 1,711 rushing yards and 21 scores on the ground for the Sun Devils, who won the Big 12 and earned the No. 4 seed in the College Football Playoff.

Skattebo joins a Giants backfield that includes Tyrone Tracy Jr., Devin Singletary and Eric Gray. Tracy ultimately led the backs with 1,123 yards from scrimmage and six touchdowns, while Singletary pitched in 556 total yards and four scores.

One can surmise that Skattebo will get his chances to make his mark on this backfield. He was a tremendous asset at Arizona State, the heartbeat of a team that had its best season since 1996, when the Sun Devils won the then-Pac-10, reached the Rose Bowl and went 11-1.

Skattebo showed his best self in the Peach Bowl against Texas, finishing the day with 143 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns on 30 carries, 99 receiving yards on eight catches, a 42-yard passing touchdown and a two-point conversion.

Arizona State lost 39-31 in double overtime, but Skattebo once again proved his durability and greatness in the win.

We'll see how he fares in the pros soon enough. But with the Skattebo deal now in place, all seven drafted Giants rookies have signed their contracts. That draft class includes Penn State edge-rusher Abdul Carter (No. 3 overall pick) and Ole Miss quarterback Jaxson Dart (No. 25).
