WWE Hall of Famer Nikki Bella Talks 'Happy Gilmore 2' Filming with Adam Sandler
WWE Hall of Famer Nikki Bella has opened up about her experience working on Happy Gilmore 2 with Adam Sandler and a cast that includes several professional wrestlers.
On the latest episode of the Nikki and Brie Show (h/t Subhojeet Mukherjee of Ringside News), Bella said she filmed her cameo last fall and called it "the greatest set" she has ever been on:
"Happy Gilmore 2—I will say the greatest set I’ve ever been on and like so needed at the time of my life. I filmed it in the fall, and it did make me believe that when they say laughter is the best medicine, it truly is. Here I’m on set and Adam Sandler obviously is running the show and couldn’t be more incredible—he is like—and what I loved is there was a lot of us that it was like a first-time, like big feature film. He made you feel so comfortable."

Bella previously shared a photo of herself with AEW star MJF, who is playing one of Gilmore's sons, on the movie's set.
Details of Bella's role have not been made available, but she feels fans of the original will be very happy with the movie as a whole.
"But I think everyone’s going to be so shocked when they watch it, because even like—obviously I know the script—but watching what I did and seeing all these different performances and cameos, I’m like oh my gosh, this is going to be insane. I heard it was so good and they had to keep cutting it down, ’cause I didn’t realize like comedies are only supposed to be 2 hours, like not more. And they could have made the movie easily two and a half."
Sandler and his crew cast a wide net to get athletes throughout the sports world to appear in the sequel to the 1996 hit. Becky Lynch is another member of the pro-wrestling community confirmed to have a cameo.
Other athletes who will appear in either a supporting or cameo role include Travis Kelce, Reggie Bush, Rory McIlroy, Bryson DeChambeau, Jordan Spieth, Jack Nicklaus and Nelly Korda.
Sandler, Christopher McDonald, Kevin Nealon and Julie Bowen are reprising their roles from the original movie.
Happy Gilmore 2 will be released on Netflix on July 25.
