The top overall vote-getter in each league during Phase 1 will automatically earn a starting spot in the All-Star Game. After that, the two players with the most votes at each position—along with the top six outfielders—will move on to Phase 2 of voting, set to begin June 30. However, if an outfielder leads their league in total votes, only the next four outfielders will advance to determine the final two starting spots.
