Dodgers Reportedly 'Lurking' on Marlins' Sandy Alcantara Ahead of MLB Trade Deadline
The Los Angeles Dodgers are reportedly “lurking” as potential suitors for Miami Marlins ace Sandy Alcantara ahead of the MLB trade deadline, according to USA Today’s Bob Nightengale.
Alcantara, who underwent Tommy John surgery in October 2023, has fully ramped up his game again and is back in action. The 29-year-old holds a 3-7 record with a 7.14 ERA, 50 strikeouts and a 1.49 WHIP.
As the Marlins stumble through the season with a 28-41 record—fifth-worst in the league—Alcantara is shaping up to be one of their top trade chips ahead of the deadline.
