Caitlin Clark Asks If U.S. Open's Oakmont Is 'Fun to Play,' Jokes She'd Shoot '130'
Caitlin Clark can make a shot from just about anywhere on the basketball court and is a gifted athlete, but she doesn't think she would be able to hold her own at the U.S. Open.
On Sunday, Clark joked that she'd "shoot 130 easily" at Oakmont Country Club, where the U.S. Open is being held. She also wondered if the notoriously difficult course is "even fun to play."

As good of an athlete as Clark is, 130 might be an appropriate score for anyone who doesn't play golf professionally. The course has always given golfers trouble, and that has been the case again this year.
Sam Burns led through seven holes on Sunday when play was suspended due to weather. His best play came in the second round when he shot a 65, but he was sitting at just 2-under par for the tournament.
Michael Kim, who finished at 14-over par, tied for 50th place, confirmed to Clark that Oakmont is, in fact, not fun to play. He added, however, that it's "still worth playing."
Clark could get the chance to play at Oakmont if her side quest as a golfer continues. The Indiana Fever star played in a LPGA pro-am event last year and seemingly has plenty of interest in the sport.
