The Wildcats' quest for a fifth College World Series championship officially came to an end on Sunday.

Louisville responded by scoring once in the second inning, but Guzman struck again with a solo home run in the top of the third that gave the Wildcats another two-run lead.
The Cardinals went scoreless from the third inning through the sixth, but eventually got back on the board with a sacrifice fly from outfielder Lucas Moore.
Louisville still trailed by one run entering the bottom of the eighth inning, although a two-run single by Zion Rose gave the team its first lead of the game.
The Cardinals quickly built upon their advantage, recording six runs in the bottom of the frame. Their offensive outburst was highlighted by RBI singles from Kamau Neighbors and Matt Klein as well as a sacrifice bunt by Alex Alicea.
Arizona couldn't rally in the top of the ninth, as Louisville secured the win.
Ethan Eberle started for the Cardinals and allowed three runs in 3.2 innings, but was helped by a strong bullpen performance. Wyatt Danilowicz and Tucker Biven didn't give up a run in 5.1 combined innings of relief work, recording five total strikeouts.
Coastal Carolina 6, Oregon State 2
Coastal Carolina used an early lead and a pitching gem to take down Oregon State and avoid a trip to an elimination game.
A bases-clearing double by Colby Thorndyke in the top of the first inning gave the Chanticleers a 3-0 lead, and they never looked back.
From there, Coastal Carolina starting pitcher Jacob Morrison to put forth a special performance on the mound. He pitched 7.2 innings and allowed just five hits and one earned run with seven strikeouts. Even after he surrendered a home run in the third inning, he never lost focus and retired 15 straight batters at one point.
Next up for Oregon State will be an elimination game against Louisville on Tuesday afternoon.
