US Open Golf Cut Line 2025 for Bryson DeChambeau and Full List of Players Removed

Jack MurrayJun 13, 2025

The U.S. Open field has officially been trimmed down.

The second round of the tournament at Oakmont Country Club came to a close on Friday night and only three participants were under par. Sam Burns led all golfers at three under par while J.J. Spaun was second at two under and Victor Hovland rounded out the top three at one under par.

While those three looked primed to compete for the title this weekend, some notable names will not quite get that chance. The cut line was plus-seven, which reflected the nature of how the field has handled the tough conditions.

Among those cut was Bryson DeChambeau, who won the 2024 iteration of the tournament. Several other past winners will also not be on the course this weekend.

DeChambeau shot a 73 in round one and looked poise to at least be in contention. However, a 77 on the second day ended his repeat bid early.

Other former champions who did not include the cut include Dustin Johnson, Gary Woodland, Wyndham Clark, Lucas Glover and Justin Rose.

Notable competitors who narrowly made the cut were Cam Davis, Matt Fitzpatrick and Rory McIlroy. It will take a major turnaround for those three to make a push for a title but they will at least get the opportunity to do so.

The U.S. Open continues Saturday morning.
