Mya Lesnar, Daughter of WWE Star Brock, Wins 2025 NCAA Shot Put Championship
Former WWE champion Brock Lesnar is no longer the only member of his family with a college national title, as his daughter and Colorado State standout Mya won the 2025 NCAA shot put championship on Thursday.
Mya's first throw, which traveled 19.01 meters (62 feet, 4.5 inches), was the one that secured her win.

Illinois' Abria Smith finished second (18.85 meters), followed by Texas' Nina Ndubuisi (18.5 meters), Louisville's Jayden Ulrich (18.26 meters) and USC's Ashley Erasmus (17.99 meters).
Chris Bengel of CBS Sports noted Lesnar actually had the two best throws of the competition. Her second attempt traveled 61 feet, 11 inches, just ahead of Smith's best throw.
Lesnar previously won the 2024 NCAA indoor championships in shot put. She entered this year's outdoor championships as the top-ranked shot-putter in the nation.
The 23-year-old has been dominant in this event since arriving at Colorado State in 2022. She has won four straight Mountain West titles.
Lesnar's personal-best throw was 64.4 feet, accomplished earlier this season. She took part in the U.S. Olympic Track and Field Team Trials last year to qualify for the Paris Games, but she came up short in her quest to make the team with her best throw going just over 55 feet.
By comparison, Lesnar's best throw from this season would have tied her with Jaida Ross at the trials last year. Ross finished third to make the USA roster, and she came in fourth at the Olympics.
China's Song Jiayuan won bronze in Paris with her best throw going 19.32 meters. Lesnar has not yet confirmed if she will attempt to qualify for the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles, but her current trajectory suggests she would have a great shot of making the team.
Lesnar's victory marks just the second outdoor national title for a Colorado State athlete. Loree Smith won the hammer throw in 2005.
