Jim Harbaugh Jokes About John Harbaugh, Cal Ripken Jr. Foul Ball Video

Los Angeles Chargers head coach Jim Harbaugh offered some advice for his brother, Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh, after he missed out on catching a foul ball at Wednesday evening's Detroit Tigers at Baltimore Orioles game.

ESPN's Kris Rhim relayed the moment at Harbaugh's news conference with reporters Thursday.

Detroit right fielder Wenceel Pérez hit a foul ball that went over the backstop netting and into the first row of the stands behind home home plate, where Harbaugh and Orioles legend/Baseball Hall of Famer Cal Ripken Jr. were sitting.

The ball bounced between both men before bouncing up into the air and past them by a few rows.

Per the Associated Press, Jim Harbaugh gave his brother credit for being a "tremendous middle infielder" in his baseball-playing days. He also noted that John Harbaugh didn't have a glove with him at the game.

So John Harbaugh missed out on the chance at an impressive bare-handed catch. Regardless, he has more important matters at hand as he hopes to lead the defending two-time AFC North champion Ravens back into the playoffs, where the team is looking for its first Super Bowl appearance (and win) since Feb. 2013.
