Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value ๐
Burns has long been associated with Spider-Man, and he explained before being drafted in 2019 how he got his nickname of "Spider-Burns."
"As a kid, I've always been a big Spider-Man fan," he said on Up to the Minute on NFL Network. "It just so happened to work out that his same attributes are the same attributes that I use on the field as far as quickness, speed, length, flexibility, bending, all kinds of things, instinct."
Burns rocked Spider-Man socks to the NFL draft, further establishing his nickname.
Burns will look to continue using his Spider-Man-like abilities in his second season with the Giants this year. Burns, a 2019 first-rounder who spent the first five years of his career with the Carolina Panthers, was traded to New York last offseason. In his first year with the team, he logged 42 solo tackles, 8.5 sacks and two forced fumbles.
