Flau'jae Johnson 'Not Friends' with Angel Reese After 'Locker Room Stuff' At LSU

Angel Reese and Flau'jae Johnson were an electric duo on the court at LSU, leading the Tigers to a championship in 2023, but their relationship hasn't continued in recent years.

Johnson revealed on The Breakfast Club on Power 105.1 that she and Reese are no longer friends.

“We’re not friends but that bond that we had and that thing we did together, win a national championship, you can never take that away from us,” Johnson said (5:20 in video). “Sometimes, stuff happens. You wish it don’t happen but it do. You just got to grow. I support her in everything she do, she’s killing it in the WNBA. I’ll be on social media clowning the folks trying to talk down on her. I’m just proud of her. But you know, stuff happens.”

While Johnson didn't say exactly what caused the break in their relationship, she said it had to do with "locker room stuff."

Johnson's comments come after Reese addressed their relationship on her podcast last year.

"I still support Flau’jae. We aren’t as close as we used to be. There are no hard feelings or anything," Reese said (h/t For The Win's Meghan L. Hall). "I wish her the best always. I'm always going to support her."

Reese was a star at LSU, averaging 18.6 points and 13.4 boards per game in her final season. Johnson is set to headline this year's squad after posting 18.6 points per game a season ago.

With Johnson likely on her way to the WNBA soon, perhaps the two will have the chance to reunite and become friends again.
