Browns' Joe Flacco Calls TikTok Dances 'Embarrassing' on Video, Says 'Be An Adult'

If Joe Flacco ever had a period when he wasn't a curmudgeon, he's definitely past that point now that he's 40 and entering his 18th season in the NFL.

Speaking to reporters after the Cleveland Browns' practice on Wednesday, Flacco explained TikTok dances are "embarrasing" and grown-ups who take part in them need to "be an adult."

In the midst of joking about adults dancing on TikTok, Flacco did make some interesting points about the way social media has evolved since he first entered the NFL in 2008.

One thing Flacco pointed out is the first time one of his Baltimore Ravens teammates mentioned tweeting something, "nobody knew what that meant" and it was initially seen primarily as a way to have fun.

Now, though, Flacco notes these social-media sites are "the main news source" for most people and outlets:

"The difference now is, everybody's getting their stuff from there, and it's treated a little bit more seriously because that is the main news source. You still have the same thing you always had, which is a million different opinions, but it kind of blends your actual news source with a bunch of other stuff."

Despite his conflicted feelings about TikTok dances and other forms of social media, Flacco has been game to participate when asked by teammates in the fun. Dillon Gabriel even convinced him to take part in a photo-op specifically for X.

Flacco is very self-aware about his age, including joking last season during his time with the Indianapolis Colts after a win over the Tennessee Titans that he was old enough to be the father of some of his teammates.

Unfortunately for Flacco, it doesn't seem like the TikTok trend of adults dancing for the camera will end anytime soon.

Who knows, if things go well enough for the Browns this season, they might be able to talk Flacco into doing a little shimmy for the camera at some point.
