In his first year with the Pittsburgh Steelers, star receiver DK Metcalf is embracing change.

Metcalf, who wore No. 14 during his six-year tenure with the Seattle Seahawks, will be wearing the No. 4 jersey when he suits up for the Steelers this season. The team dropped a photo of the wideout in his full uniform during minicamp on Wednesday:

The Steelers acquired Metcalf from the Seahawks in exchange for their second-round pick in the 2025 NFL draft and pick swaps in the sixth and seventh rounds. Upon his acquisition, Pittsburgh signed him to a five-year, $150 million contract extension, solidifying him as one of its franchise cornerstones.

Despite needing time to get acclimated to his new team, Metcalf skipped the majority of voluntary OTAs with the Steelers. However, Gerry Dulac of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reported at the time that they "really don't care" about his absence.

Metcalf reported for the start of mandatory minicamp on Tuesday, allowing Pittsburgh to breathe a sigh of relief. He was seen in action in a short video clip that had Steelers fans excited:

Metcalf will undoubtedly be the No. 1 option in the passing attack for newly signed quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who joined Pittsburgh on a one-year deal last week.

The Steelers traded wide receiver George Pickens to the Dallas Cowboys this offseason, which hurt their depth at the position a bit. Veteran wideout Robert Woods and tight end Pat Freiermuth will be counted on to contribute behind Metcalf as Rodgers tries to lead the Black & Gold back to title contention.
