Gunther Beats Jey Uso to Win WWE World Heavyweight Championship on Raw After MITB
Gunther has claimed the World Heavyweight Championship, bringing Jey Uso’s 52-day reign to a dramatic end on WWE Raw after Money in the Bank.
The Ring General imposed his dominance with a brutal chokehold in the center of the ring that sent Uso to sleep and solidified Gunther's place at the top of the red brand.

The title change came in eerily familiar fashion for Gunther, who reclaimed the World Heavyweight Championship on Raw using the same move that cost him the belt at WrestleMania 41.
After absorbing a massive frog splash from Jey Uso, the Austrian reversed momentum and locked in a chokehold from his back, forcing Uso to tap out in the center of the ring.
The back-and-forth rivalry between the two has been building since WrestleMania, when Uso shocked Gunther with a 16-minute, 21-second victory that ended The Ring General’s 259-day reign.
During his 52-day stint as champion, Uso successfully defended the title twice—first against Seth Rollins via disqualification on the May 5 episode of Raw (titles don’t change hands on DQs), and again with a 9:46 win over Logan Paul at Saturday Night’s Main Event on May 24.
