R-Truth Cuts Hair in WWE Raw Video, Announces He Will Go By Ron Killings After Return

Taylyn Hadley Jun 9, 2025

R-Truth will not only be rocking a new hairstyle moving forward, but he also announced on WWE Raw that he will be going by his real name, Ron Killings, following his brief release from the company.

"I feel different. I feel alive," Killings said. "And for any of you that thinks I'm a lie, you think I'm some sideshow act, you think I'm a gimmick..."

Then, live on Raw, he chopped his hair in front of the crowd.

Following the chop, he looked at his hair and declared: "R-Truth, the truth has set me free. I am Ron Killings, I am the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. Now put some respect on my name."

The crowd at PHX Arena in Phoenix erupted as he hopped off the announcers table.

On June 1, Killings announced on social media that he had been released from the WWE after 17 years with a heartfelt message to the fans.

After much fan pushback and disappointment, Killings made a surprise return to WWE action one week later. He rolled into the main event of Money in the Bank in an all-black disguise and unmasked himself to one of the loudest fan pops.

Killings came to the defense of Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso by delivering a monster spear to John Cena and helping take down the team of Cena and Logan Paul.

The return left many fans wondering if Killings was truly released or if it was all a ploy. WWE appears to be keeping those details close to the vest, but fans were excited for his comeback regardless.
