Aaron Rodgers, DK Metcalf in Photo at Cam Heyward Golf Outing After Steelers Contract

Aaron Rodgers is seemingly settling into Pittsburgh well.

The Steelers' new quarterback, who signed a one-year, $13.7 million contract with the team last week, attended defensive lineman Cam Heyward's third annual Irons for Impact golf outing on Monday. The 41-year-old Rodgers was seen riding in a golf cart with his new wide receiver DK Metcalf.

After connecting on the golf course, Rodgers and Metcalf will look to connect on the football field as well. Both players have a new home this offseason and are hoping to put together big first seasons in Pittsburgh.

Rodgers, who threw for 3,897 yards, 28 touchdowns and 11 interceptions last year, was released by the New York Jets shortly after the end of the season. Though Pittsburgh was one of the clear landing spots for Rodgers from the jump, he took his time in free agency before finally signing on Saturday.

Metcalf, who spent the first six seasons of his career in Seattle, was traded to the Steelers by the Seahawks in March, later agreeing to a five-year, $150 million deal with the team. The 27-year-old had 992 receiving yards and five touchdowns in 2024.

Though Pittsburgh has appeared in the playoffs more often than not over the last decade, the Steelers haven't won a postseason game since 2016. While the duo of Rodgers and Metcalf might not be a long-term solution for success, it could be enough for the team to have a deep playoff run this season.
