WWE Night of Champions 2025 Match Card Predictions After Money in the Bank

Erik BeastonJun 9, 2025

On the heels of an eventful Money in the Bank that saw Seth Rollins and Naomi retrieve the briefcases to guarantee championship opportunities over the next year, all eyes turn to Night of Champions on June 28 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

From high-stakes main events to the finals of the King and Queen of the Ring tournaments, what might the card look like for the upcoming premium live event?

Let's make some way-too-early predictions.

King and Queen of the Ring Finals

WWE Money In The Bank

WWE keeps with the five-match format for this show, dialing up the finals of the King and Queen of the Ring tournaments for Riyadh.

Nia Jax and Gunther won the crowns last year and cashed in their victories for shots at the WWE Women's Championship and World Heavyweight Championship, respectively, at SummerSlam.

This year, the rewards await the victors, with the winners challenging their respective brand's champions.

Do not count out major stars winning here, with Cody Rhodes potentially earning victory on the men's side and setting up a WrestleMania rematch against John Cena while Rhea Ripley powers through the competition to claim a rematch with Iyo Sky.

Some may take exception to those outcomes given the star power each already has, but it is a logical way to get both back into the title picture while still earning the win, rather than being handed it and alienating the audience.

Women's Tag Title Match: Iyo Sky and Kairi Sane vs. Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez

Monday Night RAW

Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez have both dropped matches to Kairi Sane of late, with the former also drawing the attention and ire of women's world champion Iyo Sky.

Morgan and Rodriguez have reigned as champions since the night after WrestleMania 41 and have yet to face suitable challengers. Sky and Sane, former teammates in Damage CTRL, are just that.

The match allows Sky to have a spot on the PLE card without defending her title while she awaits her next potential challenger to be crowned in the Queen of the Ring tournament.

It also gives Morgan and Rodriguez a championship defense and a shot at a very good match featuring two of the best wrestlers on the roster.

World Heavyweight Championship: Jey Uso vs. Logan Paul vs. Gunther

WWE Saturday Night's Main Event

Fans have seen Jey Uso and Logan Paul square off before, in a Saturday Night's Main Event headliner, but they still have unfinished business that was not settled in the Money in the Bank tag team match.

Gunther has interacted with both men and will challenge Uso for his title Monday night on Raw.

Assuming there is some sort of screwy finish that protects both from defeat while keeping Paul involved, a Triple Threat match in Riyadh seems the most logical next step.

Throw in the potential for a Seth Rollins Money in the Bank cash-in, and you have even more reason for fans to look forward to a match that may not be the most enthralling on paper.

Undisputed WWE Championship: Ron Killings vs. John Cena

WWE Money In The Bank

Strike while the iron is hot, as they say.

Ron Killings' return at the conclusion of Money in the Bank had the wrestling world buzzing. He cost John Cena and Logan Paul victory against Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso and appears to be looking for a measure of revenge against The GOAT, especially after a loss to him on Saturday Night's Main Event in less than five minutes.

Given the history between them and the interest in the babyface being as over as he has been in well over a decade, now is the time to book the match.

It's a rematch, but with less than three weeks to go before the show, it is an option that makes sense and has considerable heat behind it. It also prevents WWE from having to book a main event it may have otherwise been slated for a bigger, more important show later in the summer.
