According to Spotrac, that figure will move Alcaraz past tennis legend Pete Sampras for seventh place on the ATP career earnings list. Sampras made $43.3 million during his incredible career, which included 14 Grand Slam singles titles.

Alcaraz appears to be on a similar trajectory. The 22-year-old won the French Open for the second straight year by fighting back from a two-set deficit against No. 1 Jannik Sinner and winning 4-6, 6 (4)-7, 6-4, 7-6 (3), 7-6 (10-2). His epic comeback will be remembered as one of the most exciting matches of the current era.

Alcaraz's next chance to add another major title to his mantle and more prize money to his bank account will be at Wimbledon, which begins later this month on June 30.
