Giants' Wan'Dale Robinson Says Russell Wilson Has Been 'Better Than We Expected'
New York Giants wide receiver Wan'Dale Robinson praised new quarterback Russell Wilson, saying he has been "better than we expected" during offseason workouts.
“The first time we threw, me and Slay were both like, this is actually better than we expected. And so we were ecstatic about it, and couldn’t be more happy that he’s our quarterback,” Robinson said, per Pro Football Talks' Michael David Smith.
This offseason, Russell Wilson signed a one-year, $10.5 million deal with the New York Giants following a one-year stint with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

In his lone season with Pittsburgh, Wilson threw for 2,482 yards and 16 touchdowns while completing 63.7 percent of his passes.
The 13-year veteran and 36-year-old quarterback has quickly assumed a leadership role with the Giants while working out with Robinson, Darius Slayton and Theo Johnson.
“The way he just commanded, even just that little session of just the three of us, me, Slay, and Theo. It was just kinda like, we haven’t had a quarterback that’s just gonna command everything, and you know exactly what you want. So, he’s been great,” Robinson continued, per Smith.
The Giants will kick off their regular season on Sept. 7 against the young and hungry Washington Commanders on the road.
