Amanda Nunes is coming out of retirement after nearly two years, per ESPN's Brett Okamoto.

The former UFC bantamweight and featherweight champion revealed that she's looking to fight the winner of the upcoming clash between Julianna Peña and Kayla Harrison at UFC 316, via Okamoto.

Nunes initially retired from the sport in June 2023 after defeating Irene Aldana at UFC 289.

She vacated the women's bantamweight and women's featherweight titles in the same month as her retirement, with the featherweight division later removed from circulation.

Nunes revealed that she's been dealing with parenting responsibilities after retiring, but is ready to return to the Octagon.

"I missed [fighting] so much," Nunes told fans on Friday, via Okamoto. "My baby is big now. She didn't sleep much at night [as a baby] and I was concerned about that because we fighters need sleep. But now, my baby is bigger and I'm ready to go. Kayla or Julianna, I'm going to be ready."

The 37-year-old owns a record of 23-5-0 throughout her impressive UFC career, winning 14 of her past 15 bouts.

Nunes was selected as a member of the UFC Hall of Fame's Class of 2025, although she's teased a return several times since.

She's familiar with both of the potential opponents that she's looking to face in her return. Peña shockingly submitted her for the bantamweight title at UFC 269, but Nunes later claimed the title once again with a five-round decision victory at UFC 277.

She was former teammates with Harrison as well.

No matter who comes out on top at UFC 316 on Saturday, Nunes is ready to return.
