Legendary Attitude Era stars The Rock and Triple H both possess important positions of power in WWE, and they reportedly don't always see eye to eye.

According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter (h/t WrestleTalk), The Rock and Triple H "have different viewpoints on many things," and "they are at times on different pages."

The Rock, who is one of the biggest Superstars of all time and arguably the most successful actor in Hollywood currently, holds a spot on the board of directors for TKO, which is the entity formed when WWE and UFC merged.

Meanwhile, Triple H is the head of WWE creative, meaning most of what fans see on WWE programming on a weekly basis is either his brainchild or something he approved.

The Rock has had a much larger presence within the WWE product since the start of last year than he did for many years before that, however.

During the build toward WrestleMania 40, The Rock returned and laid down a challenge for Roman Reigns. It initially looked like The Rock vs. Reigns was going to happen at WrestleMania 40, but Cody Rhodes ended up challenging Reigns instead.

Reigns and The Rock teamed against Rhodes and Seth Rollins on Night 1 of WrestleMania 40, and Rhodes then beat Reigns for the WWE Championship on Night 2.

The Rock returned to the fold earlier this year with a proposal for Rhodes to sell him his soul. When Rhodes refused at Elimination Chamber, John Cena attacked Cody at The Rock's behest and turned heel.

While fans expected The Rock to be part of the rest of the build toward WrestleMania 41, he wasn't, and Cena beat Rhodes for the WWE title at WrestleMania 41 with help from rapper Travis Scott.

Meltzer noted that while most assume The Rock would win a power struggle with Triple H due to how close he is with WWE president Nick Khan, Triple H has "gotten what he wanted," including Reigns vs. Rhodes at WrestleMania 40 and Cena turning heel rather than Rhodes this year.

Meltzer added that Triple H is "entrenched" in his role due to WWE's success under his guidance, so it doesn't appear as though any potential disagreements between The Rock and Triple H will change much when it comes to the balance of power.

Rumors on R-Truth's WWE Departure, Wrestling Future

WWE's surprising decision to part ways with beloved veteran R-Truth was reportedly driven by finances.

According to Meltzer (h/t WrestleTalk), WWE felt it "made no sense" financially to keep R-Truth since his "last contract was so high for the level they were using him."

For the last several years, Truth was primarily a comedic character who wrestled occasionally, but was mostly meant to get some laughs out of the fans in backstage segments.

Still, he had some memorable moments, including his stint with The Judgment Day and winning the tag team titles with The Miz at WrestleMania 40.

More recently, R-Truth stepped up to his "childhood hero" John Cena and faced him at Saturday Night's Main Event with Cena picking up the victory after cheating. That proved to be the final major match of Truth's WWE tenure.

Given that Truth is 53 years of age, it is unclear if he intends to keep wrestling, but if he does, he may already have a suitor.

Per Meltzer (h/t WrestlePurists), people in TNA have said that they want to make Truth an offer to sign with the company.

Truth has plenty of history with TNA, as he was part of the promotion from 2002 to 2007 after his initial WWE run as K-Kwik. Under the name Ron "The Truth" Killings, Truth was a top star in TNA, holding the NWA World Heavyweight Championship twice.

He could potentially return to the mix as a top guy in TNA again if he signs there, and since TNA has a working relationship with WWE, the door would be open for him to make appearances for WWE as well if both sides are amenable.

The Miz Reportedly Set for WWE Hiatus Soon

In conjunction with a major outside opportunity, The Miz is reportedly set to take a leave of absence from WWE programming soon.

According to Meltzer (h/t Subhojeet Mukherjee of Ringside News), The Miz is set to leave in the near future for London where he will serve as the host for the revival of American Gladiators on Prime Video.

Miz was announced as the host of the series last month, adding another major accolade to his résumé. In addition to being a two-time WWE champion and part of the exclusive group Grand Slam champion club, The Miz has gained success as an actor and host outside of WWE.

The original American Gladiators series ran from 1989 to 1996, and there was a revival of the concept in 2008 as well.

In recent months, The Miz has been paired with Carmelo Hayes as a tag team partner and mentor of sorts.

The Miz helped guide Hayes to a win in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal during WrestleMania weekend, and he has taken several proverbial bullets for Hayes in the form of Aleister Black kicks to the face.

After Hayes failed to qualify for the Money in the Bank ladder match, The Miz was critical of him, which suggests the dissolution of their partnership could be forthcoming.

Hayes attacking The Miz or beating him in a match would be a logical way to write Miz off television in time for his American Gladiators hosting gig.
